New Hosting Company

by on Apr.11, 2009, under Uncategorized

Well I was coming to renewal time and wanted to see what else was available. I’ve been hosting with HostMonster for two years now and got to say they weren’t real bad at all. The service department took care of any issues I had with adequate attention for my needs. I can’t complain a whole lot. Pretty much I had one complaint (1) and that was that every time I did anything in the control panel it seemed slower than molasses. That is a big problem for the time I spent editing my sites.

I though why not try something else out at least for a little while before my HostMonster account totally expired. Right away I checked out HostGator as I’ve always heard the two services almost always together. I spent about 45 minutes on their website and chatting with live customer service asking questions. I noticed their demo control panel was greatly faster than my current HostMonster control panel. I wondered if this was by design being a demo. Features were almost identical however HostGator is slightly cheaper I believe especially for multiple years pre-pay. With the 45 day guarantee, I signed up right away for three years. I absolutely LOVE it and my control panel IS as fast as the demo and I’ve got to admit their “green” status pushed me to purchase with them right away. You can read all about them going green in a major way on their home page. I am very proud to say my websites now are all GREEN. Even though I’ve only been using HostGator about a week now, I’d recommend them to anyone however I will post followups in a few months to come and tell you if my recommendation stands. I love the green aspect and I love the speed but service has to be top notch and my websites have to always be on of course to make this a perfect marriage. Check out HostGator today!
